RedRock was founded with a deep understanding and appreciation of how social value can not only help boost a business but also help our local area thrive.

We have always been a community-focused company, with a keen sense of civic pride and attachment to the City of Bristol. As well as a staunch supporter of the Bristol Bears and their Community Foundation, we support Empire Fighting Chance in their mission to help young people experiencing emotional and behavioural issues and have also been involved in a number of other charity events.

Empire Fighting Chance

Empire Fighting Chance is an inspiring charity that we have partnered with on the mission to help young people living in Bristol’s deprived areas.

They have been in Bristol for over 12 years supporting young people who experience emotional and behavioural issues as a result of social and economic exclusion. Through participation in sports, young people gain support in ways that feel natural, encouraging them to turn up, build trust and go on to make changes in their lives. Using non-contact boxing as the foundation for change Empire’s approach builds on top of that and uses a set of tools that enable them to help and connect with young people.

RedRock has a personal connection with the charity and their cause. Some of our RedRock colleagues have had family members who have been fortunate enough to experience the service first-hand. The combination of the connection with Bristol and the personal connection means we are extremely keen to ensure RedRock can provide a more hands-on form of support and be there for the young people of Bristol!

Bristol Bears Community Foundation

Bristol Bears’ Community Foundation is delivering programs that are proven to change the lives of people across the region.

We have been a passionate supporter and sponsor of our local rugby club, the Bristol Bears, for five years and are honoured to support the Bristol Bears’ Community Foundation as well. The charity works with over 8,000 people from the local community each year and is regularly recognised for its work on a national scale, winning numerous Parliamentary Awards since 2008. The influence community coaches have on the people they work with is supported further by the fantastic role models on offer amongst the players and staff.

We are excited to continue our ongoing partnership and improve our local community.

Education

RedRock is keen to enable future generations to realise and reach their full potential.

By offering jobs aimed at those just starting their working lives, RedRock has provided and continues to provide fantastic opportunities for new team members so that they can build invaluable experience and potentially forge a life-long career. We also offer in-depth on-the-job training combined with skill development programmes and apprenticeships.

We believe that in order to develop you need to have the right tools. That is why we are donating computers and other of our used equipment to our local St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School with the kind support of Business2Schools.

Previous charity involvement

Besides the charities that we have ongoing relationships with, we are always excited to take part in other initiatives that benefit the local community.

Wallace & Gromit’s The Grand Appeal are Bristol’s Children’s Hospital official charity and thanks to the money they raise each year the hospital can provide the very best level of care for its patients and their families. We took part in the “Big Bake” which brought people together to enjoy some homemade treats and raised a significant amount of funds for a good cause. RedRock has also raised money for the Grand Appeal by taking part in the infamous Tough Mudder, an endurance event regarded as the beast of all assault courses. The last time we participated, 15 mighty challengers gave up the relative safety of the RedRock office and faced 10-12 miles of obstacles, mud, and bogs to raise hundreds of pounds for a fantastic cause.

The Bristol Children’s Hospital is located just a mile from our offices in Clifton. We have always considered the cause close to our hearts and would be open to participating in any future events related to it.
